CRS commits substantial resources on a continuing basis to several projects which reach a national audience. These all involve writing and disseminating information through a monthly newsletter and by creating new written resources for detention and corrections.
We operate the National Jail Work and Industry Center provides important guidance and tools for expanding and improving the use of inmate labor (click here). This was developed and operated on behalf of the U.S. Department of Justice for nearly 20 years. CRS continues to provide this service even though federal funding has expired.
Our Staffing Analysis Clearinghouse assembles the latest information, methods and tools for use by jails and any other organization.
